Mike Singletary works for the Rams this season

Mike Singletary, hall of Fame linebacker and the former San Francisco 49ers coach, returning to NFL after a two-year absence. He will reserve as the defense consultant of the Los Angeles Rams. Singletary was the San Francisco 49ers’ head coach from 2008 to 2010, going 18-22. He was a linebacker coach with the Minnesota Vikings from 2011 to 2013 before out of coaching. Singletary was the core player of the Chicago Bears’ defense from 1981 to 1992. During the 12 season with the Bears, Singletary helped the team win a Super Bowl and became one of the best linebackers in the NFL history. Singletary will work with a group of excellent defensive players in Los Angeles Rams now.

Lions Sign Keith Lewis, Austin Willis and Andre Roberts

The Detroit Lions announced that they have signed DB Keith Lewis and WR Andre Roberts. Detroit also waived WR Austin Willis and placed WR Corey Washington on Reserve/Injured. Previously with the New York Jets (2014) and San Diego Chargers (2015) practice squads, Lewis entered the NFL as an undrafted rookie free agent with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2014 out of Virginia-Lynchburg. He most recently spent time with the Kansas City Chiefs after signing with the team as a free agent in January 2016. In Roberts, the Lions get a veteran with 229 career catches for 2,711 yards and 13 touchdowns. His production has waned in each of the past four seasons between Arizona and Washington, including 11 catches for 135 yards and zero touchdowns last season.
